Its new Genesis 130FI engine with Engine Braking Reduction System and Camoplast Rip Saw track deliver aggressive corner-to-corner performance. The sled's over-the-engine, straight-shaft steering design and sport rider-forward ergonomics give it unparalleled handling and control. Big bumps virtually disappear beneath the race-proven Dual Shock Pro rear and advanced double A-arm front suspensions. The FX Nytro RTX 40th carries compression and rebound dual-clicker shocks with tough 16mm rods on both arms of the rear suspension, and Fox FLOAT shocks up front, and cool retro 40th Anniversary graphics.
Combining near-superbike power and handling with touring-bike comfort and convenience seemed like such a natural idea, it's almost surprising that the FJR1300 remains in a class of one. Oh well. Supersport Touring remains an exclusive Yamaha niche, and anyway, the critics seem to understand exactly where we're going with the FJR1300.
